Letterpressed Poster
Letterpressed Poster
Inspired (or perhaps a better word would be ‘infuriated’) by political events as of late, I channeled my energy into creating this letterpressed poster glorifying the Rebel Alliance and its spirit of resistance.
The aurebesh typeface is custom drawn and marks my first foray into developing aurebesh typefaces ». In this instance, the letters are backwards as I was working off of an old Expanded Universe styleguide describing capital letters as being reversals of lowercase. That is my Star Wars deep-geek bit of lore for the day.
The graphic was designed and plotted in Illustrator then transferred to two negatives/polymer plates, one for each color.
