A Web Original Turns 20

In 2015, First Person worked closely with Instinctif Partners to produce the motion graphics package for eBay’s landmark 20th birthday celebration in San Jose. The event was not just a gala to recognize the two-decade mark for one of the web’s oldest and most enduring companies; it was also a celebration honoring the thousands of sellers and small-shop owners who have become eBay’s dedicated core community.

As the dots were the primary graphic element in all of the animations, storyboarding and planning was essential to keep the swarm of little colored circles in order lest they explode into wild confetti. We’d save that for the end of the party. You know, once the booze came out.

First Person worked again with Instinctif in 2016 on a motion graphic system to bring the ebay Open seller event to life on the big screen.
